Sports massage is built around the specific demands of a training body — pre-event mobilisation, post-event flushing, in-season maintenance, and off-season deep repair. Our sports-focused therapists work with runners, lifters, hockey players, hunters, and anyone else who spends real time under load. Sessions blend deep-tissue pressure with active release, trigger-point work, and stretching to speed recovery and clear muscle patterns before they turn into injuries.
Not at all. If you train hard or spend serious time on your feet, you'll benefit from the same protocols we use with athletes. Half our sports-massage clients are hunters, farmers, and tradespeople.
Two windows work: 3-5 days before (deep flush + mobility) or 24-48 hours after (recovery flush). Skip the day-of unless you specifically know your body responds well to same-day work.
No — sports massage complements PT, it doesn't replace it. If you have an active injury or diagnosed condition, we'll coordinate with your PT so we're working the same plan.
Overlaps heavily, but sports massage adds active-release techniques and assisted stretching that regular deep tissue doesn't. If your goal is performance, book sports; if your goal is 'my back hurts', deep tissue is the right call.
